ARE YOU WILLING TO TRAVEL?
Our team is equipped to travel throughout the United States. Travel fees begin when our team is required to have an extended over-night stay out of town and/or when they are in need of flying to the desire wedding site.
HOW MANY WEDDINGS WILL YOU BE WORKING ON AT THE SAME TIME (DAY-OF AND THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE PROCESS)?
We have a unique system in place to keep our Wedding Planners and Coordinators from spreading their talents thin with the number of weddings on our books. Our Wedding Coordinators focus on the details of the timeline and our Wedding Planners focus on the needs of the client, and both are included in every planning package. This relieves our Wedding Planner’s schedules to fully focus on each of their couple’s planning needs.
Each planning team will only take on one wedding per weekend.
ARE THERE SPECIFIC VENDORS YOU LIKE TO USE?
We do have a list of preferred vendors that we can share with our clients, but we love working with new vendors as well. We have found that it is important for our team to remain objective to the client and not rely on our preferred vendors for every wedding.
WHAT IS YOUR PROCESS FOR SELECTING AND HIRING OUR VENUE/VENDORS?
Our Wedding Planners research the most qualifying vendors for our client’s wedding style, theme, location, needs & budget. Before any vendor is presented to the couple, they are screened to verify they have the appropriate licensing & insurance required by the state. This is to insure that our clients get the best possible candidates for their special day.
WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE WHEN HIRING VENDORS OUTSIDE OF YOUR SUGGESTIONS?
Always be sure to hire vendors that have appropriate licensing & provide a contract & insurance. There have been unfortunate circumstances in which the “friend of a friend” that a couple has hired outside of our advice has canceled a couple days before the wedding. We are very lucky to have a good source of recovery vendors for replacement when this happens, but we always aim to avoid these mishaps.
DO ANY VENDORS YOU WORK WITH OFFER YOU CLIENT DISCOUNTS?
Some vendors have discounts or special offers that they offer our client, but not all of them.
WILL THESE VENDORS BE WILLING TO WORK IN OUR AREA?
Most of our partnered vendors will travel, with the exception of florists. We value the integrity of the flowers ordered for each wedding, so we typically network with florists in the area specific to our client’s wedding.
CAN YOU CREATE A TIMELINE THAT TELLS EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THE PLANNING PROCESS – VENDORS, MEMBERS OF THE WEDDING PARTY, BRIDE/GROOM AND FAMILIES — WHAT TO DO AND WHEN TO DO IT?
We pride ourselves on our extensive wedding timelines. They start with the first delivery & ending with the last pick up. This typically runs about 4 days in length, on average. Every vendor & activity will be on this timeline. Examples of items listed, in addition to the activities that pertain to the wedding are as follow: contact information of all vendors, address of all locations, including hotel & venue(s); pick up locations, airport terminals, etc..
HOW WILL YOU MAKE SURE EVERYONE STICKS TO THE SCHEDULE?
Our Wedding Coordinators are very skilled at time gauging and allot generous times during activities the have an unpredictable time frame, such as the amount of time needed for the Bride and Groom to collect themselves after a pre-wedding reveal of the Bride in her dress. We do this to keep an easy flow, so that the schedule never really falls out of line & to reduce stress. We also go over the timeline with all vendors to ensure they each have enough time for their services.
WHAT HAPPENS IF OUR WEDDING PLANNER IS SICK OR OTHERWISE UNABLE TO BE THERE ON THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING?
The luxury of having both a Wedding Planner and a Wedding Coordinator in our packages, is the comfort of knowing that they both know the wedding inside and out. With this luxury is the relaxing knowledge that, if one becomes unavailable, the couple will still have the other team member who knows exactly what the couple’s vision is and will be able to flawlessly direct any fill-in members.
This keeps our clients from the worry of possibility having to work with someone they have never met before on their wedding day.
HOW WILL YOU HELP ME STAY WITHIN MY BUDGET?
During the initial consultation with the couple’s Wedding Planner, they will discuss the couple’s ideal budget. Based on that budget, their planner will create a spreadsheet that is updated as the planning process continues. The Wedding Planner will establish what percentage of the budget should be spent in each area & will make suggestions, accordingly. With that being said, the Bride & Groom make the final decisions & are, therefore, responsible for staying within their budget.
DO YOU CARRY PERSONAL LIABILITY AND PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCE?
Our company has 2 million dollars in insurance coverage & receive a certificate of coverage for every single event we work. We do also recommend that the clients get event insurance. We have a resource for this & it typically costs under or around $100, depending.
WHAT IS YOUR ADVICE FOR ANY COUPLE PLANNING A WEDDING?
HAVE FUN!! Don’t let each other get stressed or feel overwhelmed. Your day will be perfect, no matter what happens, because you’re marrying the love of your life.
In regards to your event, be sure to hire vendors that include proper licensing, contract & insurance. Vendors that are abnormally cheap typically have a reason.
Splurge on your photographer & DJ/Emcee. Entertainment will make or break your wedding!
Don’t be alarmed when catering takes 35% of your budget. This is normal.
Hire a planner! Even if it isn’t through our company. They will save you time, headache & money, paying for themselves in the end. Not to mention having a flawless & worry free day!
